We are busy creating *new content* so all of our campers from last summer can take the same camps again, with new lessons, concepts and activities.

2024 Schedule
Fun with Physics Camp
Age: Going into Grades 2-4 in the fall (completing Grades 1-3 by July 2024)
Dates: We are running four camps this year: Fun with Physics 1 (July 2-5), Fun with Physics 2 (July 8-12), Fun with Physics 3 (July 15-19), Fun with Physics 4 (July 22-26)
Time: 9 am to 4 pm
Price: $240 for July 2-5 Camp; $275 for other weeks. Register
This camp introduces students to topics such as light, electricity, force and motion through demonstrations and hands-on activities. Emphasis will be on physics in our everyday life. Learn about speed, gravity, mass, momentum, flotation, solar cells and circuits! Daily outdoor games, a pool session and a tree walk tour is also included. The week ends with a physics show complete with ice-cream made from liquid nitrogen. Back to Top
Advanced Physics Camp
Age: Going into Grades 5-7 in the fall (completing Grades 4-6 by July 2024)
Dates: We are running two camps this year: Advanced 1 (July 2-5), Advanced 2 (July 8-12)
Time: 9 am to 4 pm
Price: $300 for July 2-5 Camp; $325 for other weeks. Register
This camp covers similar topics as Fun with Physics but with more advanced activities such as building a dimmable tricolour LED flashlight and working with complex electrical circuits. Students will learn about energy, acceleration, gravity and the concepts of pressure and motion through activities. The week includes a pool session, a tree walk tour, daily outdoor games, a visit to UBC’s Engineering Physics robots lab (!), and a fabulous physics show. Back to Top
Astronomy Camp
Age: Going into Grades 4-6 in the fall (completing Grades 3-5 by July 2024)
Dates: We are running two camps this year: Astronomy 1 (July 15-19), Astronomy 2 (July 22-26)
Time: 9 am to 4 pm
Price: $325 Register
This camp is ideal for students interested in learning more about our universe. Students will learn about the scale of our solar system, star elements, observe the sun using a solar telescope, and learn the requirements of good rockets and landers through hands-on activities. Expert astronomers from UBC’s Department of Physics & Astronomy will talk about exciting new discoveries in astronomy. The week includes a pool session and the physics show and ice cream party. Physics and Computer Science Camp
We are not running any Physics & Computer Science camps this year. Camp Cancellation Policy
If you cancel your child’s reservation before two weeks prior to the start of the camp, we will refund your payment minus a $25 administrative fee. We will not give any refund for cancellations after this time.
